Schlaganfälle gehören zu den häufigsten Todesursachen in Deutschland. Rund 270.000 Menschen erleiden jedes Jahr einen Hirnschlag. Die Telekom unterstützt den Kampf gegen diese „Volkskrankheit“ in Kooperation mit apoplex medical technologies. Das mittelständische Medizintechnikunternehmen aus Pirmasens bietet eine software-basierte Lösung, mit deren Hilfe der Risikofaktor Vorhofflimmern frühzeitig erkannt wird und so Schlaganfälle verhindert werden können. Telekom und apoplex bieten nun gemeinsam eine Lösung für eine frühzeitige Schlaganfall-Risiko-Analyse (SRA) in der Cloud.

„Wir wollen mit unserer Technologie dazu beitragen, dass die Zahl der Schlaganfallpatienten künftig kleiner wird“, sagt Michael Waldbrenner, Geschäftsführer Telekom Healthcare Solutions. Die digitale SRA® soll dazu künftig in der Telekom Healthcare Cloud betrieben werden. Ärzte können mit der Anwendung SRA® Patienten-EKGs auf unbekanntes Vorhofflimmern screenen und so ein mögliches Schlaganfallrisiko mit entsprechenden  Therapiemaßnahmen reduzieren. Mehr als 200 Kliniken nutzen die Diagnose-Software bereits. „Unsere Kunden schätzen besonders die Qualitätssteigerung in der Diagnostik und die damit verbundene Optimierung der Klinikabläufe“, erklärt apoplex-Geschäftsführer Albert Hirtz.

Cloud mit „idealen Bedingungen“

Bei der Software handelt es sich um ein zugelassenes Medizinprodukt, das sicher in der Telekom Healthcare Cloud betrieben werden kann. Die Cloud lässt sich außerdem auch von Berufsgeheimnisträgern im Sinne des § 203 Strafgesetzbuch (StGB) für die Ablage und Verarbeitung besonders schützenswerter Daten nutzen. „Die Telekom Healthcare Cloud bietet für uns ideale Bedingungen, da sie sowohl die Anforderungen des Bundesamts für Sicherheit und Informationstechnologie als auch die des europäischen Datenschutzes erfüllt, so dass Ärzte diese auch bei der Verarbeitung von medizinischen Daten bedenkenlos nutzen können“, sagt Albert Hirtz. „Wir befinden uns in der Umsetzungsphase und werden die ersten Kunden Anfang August in die Cloud umziehen.“

Die Telekom stellt mit der Telekom Healthcare Cloud Unternehmen und Einrichtungen des Gesundheitswesens eine Plattform für den flexiblen, sicheren und modularen Bezug von IT-Ressourcen zur Verfügung. Zu den Kunden des Konzerns zählen unter anderem Kliniken, Versicherungen oder medizinische Start-ups.
