iMedA patient management and billing

iMedA provides access to patient-specific data and an integrated billing solution for more efficient workflows and accurate billing.

Patient management and Billing in one System

Benefit from integrated patient management and seamless billing solutions – with minimal training effort, thanks to the one-system solution.

WHAT IS
THAT?

iMedA is the integrated solution for patient management and billing within iMedOne®. Billing and medical controlling are essential components of the process chain in hospitals, as they significantly contribute to the financial success of the institution. To remain competitive and profitable in the long term, it is crucial to avoid considering these areas separately from the medical process. Therefore, iMedA relies on a fully integrated solution within the hospital information system (HIS). This ensures seamless data transmission, eliminates data silos, and guarantees real-time information flow.

The software module automatically codes billable services based on current OPS codes and ICD codes, preparing them for billing. It also enables clinical billing of additional services such as private doctor treatments or single rooms. Basic functions such as the creation of test and batch bills or an integrated cancellation function ensure efficient and time-saving workflows.

German hospitals that currently use SAP® IS-H for billing can easily transition to iMedA. The billing tool is integrated into the Telekom HIS and communicates with SAP® ERP ECC or SAP S/4HANA® via an interface

WHY IS THAT
TOPIC IMPORTANT?

Hospitals are under growing pressure: the demands of digitalization, the shortage of skilled workers, and rising revenue expectations require continuous adjustments. To stay competitive, hospitals must expand their service portfolio, reduce costs, and simultaneously find new revenue sources.

iMedA offers the right answers to the many challenges in billing and medical controlling. The system integrates various billing forms, including private billing, statutory (GKV) and private (PKV) health insurance billing, KV billing, BG billing, and DALE. Additionally, it supports further billing procedures such as §301, §302, and §21 SGB V – enabling efficient and comprehensive clinical billing across all relevant areas. The integrated service capture as the data source for billing prevents services from being lost in the interface or subsystem process.

FOR WHOM IS THIS
TOPIC INTERESTING?

iMedA is a key part of the HIS software and is available to all iMedOne® customers. The solution is suitable for hospitals of all levels – from general and maximum care providers to university hospitals, rehab centers, psychiatry, and MVZs. With iMedA, all healthcare providers can efficiently integrate revenue-optimized patient billing into their processes.

Thanks to the full integration within iMedOne®, lean workflows are created, reducing administrative effort and increasing efficiency. Billing staff, medical controllers, and accountants benefit from the clear structures in iMedA, ensuring near error-free revenue protection.

iMedA is suitable for hospitals using iMedOne® or considering its implementation, as well as hospitals with other HIS systems. The IS-H compatible structure allows for a quick transition.

Efficiency in patient billing
for our customers

IMEDA

Integrated HIS billing solution

Billing in hospitals is a complex process that must be precisely planned and executed. Legal requirements must always be considered, while accurate service capture – especially when patient status changes – is essential.
Rule-based determination of all billing items, semi- and fully automated invoicing for inpatient procedures, and outpatient patient billing ensure a smooth process. Additionally, the process includes managing co-payments and patient contributions, as well as seamless integration into financial accounting.

With iMedA, we offer a solution that fully meets these requirements, ensuring a reliable and efficient billing process – for optimal patient management.
