This is what Telekom Healthcare Solutions (THS) stands for. With our own e-health services, partners, acquisitions, and start-ups, we are now among Europe’s market leaders in healthcare ICT. We are constantly expanding: For example, T-Systems SFPH GmbH has become Deutsche Telekom Clinical Solutions GmbH, and joins Deutsche Telekom Clinical Solutions GmbH under the umbrella brand name “Telekom Healthcare Solutions.” All healthcare units worldwide are managed under the THS umbrella. The THS portfolio includes a broad range of solutions. The product range includes IT solutions for medical care to administrative systems for hospital billing, financial accounting, human resources, and IT operations. THS also offers IT security and portal solutions. Over 700 healthcare specialists, including doctors, caregivers, IT specialists, economists, health scientists, engineers, researchers, and data scientists make up the THS team.

Our parent company Deutsche Telekom supports the highest standards, such as hosting in conformance with EU-GDPR and numerous international certifications. For a good reason: Cyberattacks against healthcare facilities are on the rise, causing millions of euros in damage on average. To protect our customers, we use the security tools, knowledge, and experience of our Security Operation Center. Our in-house solutions are based on our German data centers and enable us to run customer systems from a central location, including hospital information system (HIS) or cloud-based software as a service (SAAS). Digitalization changes everything. The healthcare system is undergoing a paradigm shift to decentralized, intersectoral data exchange. Peter Böttcher

Peter Böttcher

Managing Director Finances

Since January 2017, Peter Böttcher has been a member of the management board of Telekom Healthcare & Security Solutions GmbH. Previously, he served for ten years as Vice President Commercial Management & Complex Deals at our parent company T-Systems International GmbH. In this position, he was responsible for commercial support of international outsourcing projects and mergers & acquisitions transactions (M&A) for big deals at T-Systems.

Peter Böttcher holds a degree in economics from the Ruhr University in Bochum. He has over 18 years of experience in M&A, strategic management, and corporate finance. Böttcher started his career in Berlin at the law firm of Haarmann, Hemmelrath & Partner, where he was responsible for auditing and M&A transactions. Between 2001 and 2005, Peter Böttcher took over commercial support of international outsourcing transactions in the IT field as a manager at the consulting firm Accenture. M&A deals, financial planning, and financial deal shaping were also part of his responsibilities in this position.

Michael Waldbrenner

Michael Waldbrenner

Since February 2014, Michael Waldbrenner has been managing director at Deutsche Telekom Clinical Solutions GmbH, formerly Brightone GmbH. Since 2013 he had been responsible for the healthcare IT sector as chairman at Brightone GmbH. With many years of experience as an international manager, he is an expert in the fields of change management and market entry strategies.

His career as an entrepreneur began in 1984 when he founded the IT company Waldbrenner, which became Tieto at the end of 2005. From 2006 to 2013, he worked in various areas of the company and held management positions, including as Director Global Sourcing in India and Director Healthcare in the Czech Republic, where he built up the healthcare business and its market entry. Most recently, he managed the Healthcare Central Europe unit at Tieto as Vice President and was responsible for activities in Europe.

Fabian Berger

Fabian Berger

Managing Director Sales and Marketing

Since July 2016, Fabian Berger has been responsible for Marketing & Sales at Deutsche Telekom Clinical Solutions GmbH. Previously, the medical IT specialist with a focus on business management had been Sales Director at Tieto, and later at Brightone GmbH.

As COO at CalcuCare AG, he was responsible for customers such as Netcare and Helios from 1998 to 2006. Altogether, Fabian Berger has over 20 years of experience in international B2B sales.
