Die nächste Phase der digitalen Kommunikation im Gesundheitswesen (KIM) startet: Nachdem die Telekom die notwendige Zulassung durch die gematik erhalten hat, beginnt der Feldtest. Dabei wird unter anderem der Austausch von sicheren und signierten, elektronischen Arztbriefen zwischen Krankenhäusern, Arztpraxen, Zahnarztpraxen oder auch Kassenzahnärztlichen Vereinigungen erprobt.

Die Telekom hat als einer der ersten KIM-Anbieter die notwendige Zulassung für die Erprobung erhalten. Der Feldtest wird in einem Krankenhaus, 50 Arztpraxen, 16 Zahnarztpraxen sowie vier Kassenzahnärztlichen Vereinigungen durchgeführt und noch in diesem Jahr abgeschlossen. Dabei arbeitet der Bonner Konzern mit der Kassenzahnärztlichen Bundesvereinigung sowie den Kassenzahnärztlichen Vereinigungen Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Berlin und Nordrhein zusammen.

KIM kann entweder mit herkömmlichen E-Mail-Programmen genutzt werden oder in Praxisverwaltungs- beziehungsweise Krankenhausinformationssysteme integriert werden. „KIM erleichtert die intersektorale Kommunikation, verringert die Kosten, ist schneller und insbesondere sicherer“, erklärt Frank A. Schloße, Deutsche Telekom Healthcare Solutions.

Neben der Übermittlung von elektronischen Arztbriefen wird als erste Anwendung auch der Versand der elektronischen Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigungen (eAU) ab dem 1. Oktober 2021 umgesetzt. Weitere Anwendungen sind der elektronische Versand von Heil- und Kostenplänen, Befunden, Bescheiden, Abrechnungen und Röntgenbildern.

Absender eindeutig nachvollziehbar

KIM ist der erste, bundesweite und sektorenübergreifende Kommunikationsdienst im Gesundheitswesen und ermöglicht den Versand vertraulicher Nachrichten, Daten und weiterer Dokumente wie Arztbriefe und Abrechnungen. Der Schutz von Patientendaten wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) sowie dem Bundesbeauftragten für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit entwickelt. Da KIM-Nachrichten verschlüsselt und signiert sind, ist eine hohe Datensicherheit gegeben. Auf dem Weg zwischen Sender und Empfänger kann die Nachricht nicht unbemerkt verändert werden.

Teilnehmer am Kommunikationsdienst KIM müssen sich registrieren. Dabei wird ihre Identität überprüft und Absender von Nachrichten eindeutig nachvollziehbar. Alle Teilnehmer werden in einem zentralen Adressbuch verzeichnet. KIM startet in einem ersten Schritt für Ärzte und Zahnärzte, später kommen weitere Nutzergruppen wie Apotheker, Physiotherapeuten und Pflegeberufe hinzu.
